On Sunday I put up my first video of 2017 on my YouTube channel, so I thought I’d also do some reflecting on where I’d like my channel to go this year.
This is part of the beauty of having a blog: I definitely would not have been doing this reflecting if it weren’t for deciding to put up this post…but now that I am thinking about it, I think it would’ve been crazy not to set myself some goals for this year!
- Hit 1K subscribers in the first half of the year. Whenever I hit a subscriber milestone (100, 500, etc), I have about ten seconds of “OH COOL!” and then that’s about it. It has very little effect on my actual life, but 1K just seems like a nice even number.
- Do more chatty videos. I’d say the majority of my videos are vlogs these days, but some of my favorite videos to watch on other channels are the chattier ones. I’d like to experiment more with that this year.
- Do at least 2 months of daily vlogging again. My Vlune and Vlogmas videos are some of my favorite of the year. I just love watching back even the most boring of days, just like I really enjoy reading back over the trivial things I was writing about in my elementary school diary. More vlogging, more memory capturing in 2017!
And if you missed it, here’s my first video of 2017 (a little inspiration from my favorite YouTubers):
