It all started with my two month Europe trip back in the summer. I thought I’d be able to use my Dropbox Pro account to save my video footage, but I was traveling very low budget and the Internet wherever I stayed turned out to usually be basic and slow. My Internet access wasn’t great in the big cities I visited and it definitely wasn’t working half the time when I was hiking in the Alps or on rural farms in the French countryside.
It took forever for clips to upload to my Dropbox account online and my computer hard drive quickly filled with the video footage I needed to save but couldn’t put on Dropbox. A full hard drive meant that editing in iMovie wasn’t possible. (Yes, I should have brought an external hard drive.)
I ended up getting really behind on editing my vlog footage, which continued delaying everything once I returned to the U.S. because I didn’t want to edit American vlogs until I’d finished my European ones. That’s the reason I’m putting up a summertime, beachy vlog in February. Visiting Santa Cruz this past summer was so much fun, but I never ended up editing it together because there was so much else to do first.
If you’re currently freezing somewhere, hopefully this vlog warms you with happy, summery memories and makes you excited that we’re only about four months off from having summer again!
