Why have I been uploading so infrequently this year?
Last year, I posted weekly the majority of the time and even tried to daily vlog in June and December. This year, it’s the middle of May and I’ve only posted seven videos so far. I’m averaging 1.2 videos per month versus an average of 5.3/month in 2016.
I’m busy with work, that’s true, but I’ve been just as busy or even busier in the past and still managed to prioritize YouTube.
I was in a major slump in most areas of my life toward the end of last year and the beginning of this one, which affected my productivity, but I’ve been starting to come out of it since March. Yet my editing and blogging productivity hasn’t picked up with it.
I don’t think it’s because I’m getting tired of it all. Maybe I forced myself to be so diligent at the beginning to make sure I stuck with my new hobby, but now I feel comfortably assured that this will be a longtime hobby and don’t feel that urgency to keep myself flaking?
I’m not sure.
But after another three week pause between uploads, my newest vlog is up, starting what might be my new favorite series on my channel: a 3-part Ireland travel vlog special of my weeklong solo road trip around the island.
